A magical journey awaits the sleeping girl Melody, as she dreams of a rainbow filled with colourful animals who invite her to adventure. When Melody awakens, her musical rooster, Chickovsky, instructs her how to play a descending scale and other notes on the piano. The rooster walks with her to a forest gate which she must open to begin her journey. Joined by her quirky pets, Cleo the cat and Dexter the dog, she begins her quest with great expectation and opens the gate.
 
Colour and imagination come alive as each friend she meets has a pitch of introduction. This pitch is pivitol to their character and place in the rainbow. of sound. Melody follows the forest path and meets elephant who toots like a trumpet, a frog who hops in perfect rhythm, and a gentle giraffe who can see all the way to the rainbow’s end. Along the journey, Melody and her friends discover that sound, colour, and friendship work together in harmony to make learning music fun!
 
Melody’s Piano Adventure aims to make piano playing and learning to read music interesting. Storytelling, colour-coded notation, songs with backtracks and silly sounds, work together to engage the readers curiosity as they experience the joy of music through Melody’s eyes!
